Summary

​

LightBenders CompScreen collects no data. It has no account, no analytics and no third party services, it makes no network connections, and LightBenders never receives any information from the app.

What the app does

​

CompScreen turns an iPhone into an on set VFX prop: a solid chroma screen with tracker marks, a timecode slate and an optional sync tone. It is a display tool. It does not record, save or export what happens during a take.

What stays on your iPhone​

​

The app stores no data about you or your takes. Touches during a take are only counted for the on screen take summary and are never saved. The app saves only its own settings and presets (chroma color, Screen Brightness, tracker layout, frame rate and similar) and any reference images you choose to load, so they are there the next time you open it. They stay on your iPhone, are never sent anywhere, and are removed when you delete the app.

Data the app does not collect

​

The app has no account, no login and no user profile. It does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or usage data. It contains no advertising and no third party analytics, tracking or other outside software. It makes no network connections to LightBenders or to anyone else. The Privacy Policy, Guide and Feedback links on the About screen open in Safari or Mail, outside the app.​

Device permissions

​

The app asks for no device permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, Bluetooth or local network. If you load a reference image, Apple's system photo picker gives the app only the image you pick; the app has no access to the rest of your photo library. The sync tone plays through the speaker only.

Information Apple provides

​

If you have chosen in your iPhone settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may share crash reports and aggregated usage statistics with us. When CompScreen is tested through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may also share crash logs and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. That collection is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy terms and is not performed by the app.

Children

​

CompScreen is a professional production tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

​

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
