BRU-Restore
Re-Engineered LTO Backup Restore Service
Data extraction from LTO tapes written with BRU PE, including tapes with no catalog, spanned sets, and partial or aborted archives. Coverage: LTO-5 through LTO-8.
Each job runs in two stages. The survey produces a full catalog of every archive and file before anything is restored. The restore then extracts the data to a client-supplied drive or RAID, or to new LTO-8 tapes in open LTFS, with every file verified against the tape's own catalog.
Reports and manifests are delivered per project.
CompScreen
VFX Green-Screen iPhone App
CompScreen turns an iPhone into a chroma prop for phone screen replacement shots, built around how DPs and colorists work. Set the screen level to sit in the exposure, choose green, blue, white or black, and
control spill on hands and faces.
Trackers adjust in shape, size, color and opacity. Levels are numeric and stored as presets, so a setup repeats and stays predictable through key and grade. A QR timecode slate, sync flash and tone mark each take.

Persistent memory for your AI assistant
At LightBenders we run AI agents often, and what makes them useful is context: a plain text "brain" describing our studio, people, projects and standards,
read at the start of every session.
For the HPA NET October 2026 Roundtable we distilled that system into a kit anyone in post can use. Two text files, one line to type, and your assistant interviews you
and builds your own brain.
Any Chat, Desktop or Code assistant. No coding. Free under CC BY 4.0 until October 20, 2026.
