Juan Cabrera
Founder | Supervising Colorist
With over 25 years in the industry, Juan is a trusted collaborator for some of the world’s top studios—renowned for his rare ability to merge technical expertise with creative vision. Before founding LightBenders, he served as
DI Supervisor at Bad Robot, helping bring to life major projects including Star Wars: The Force Awakens and
Star Trek: Into Darkness.
His forward-thinking approach and deep creative partnerships have shaped acclaimed work across film and television, including a Best Color Grading nomination at the HPA Awards for The Alienist: Angel of Darkness.
In 2021, Juan became the first Spanish Colorist invited to join the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC)
as an Associate Member.
Francisco Lorite
Senior Colorist
A seasoned Spanish colorist based in Los Angeles, Francisco is known for his refined film aesthetic and deep expertise in filmic workflows. With over 15 years of experience—from Technicolor Spain to top U.S. studios—he approaches each project with precision, flexibility, and a strong visual sensibility. Fran values close collaboration and brings a grounded, intuitive touch to the grading process. He is also a passionate advocate for the creative power of independent film.


Zoltan Frakas
Colorist | VFX
Zoltan is a colorist and finishing artist with over two decades of experience delivering high-end visuals for film, television, and commercial projects. Blending technical precision with a sharp creative eye, he brings seamless integration between color, VFX, and final delivery. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and calm, collaborative presence, Zoltan always helps elevate each frame.
Ilya Ivanov
Colorist | Online Artist
Ilya is a colorist and finishing artist with a background in photojournalism and over a decade of visual storytelling experience. Since transitioning from photography to color in 2016, his eye for tone and detail has defined his work across film and episodic projects. Ilya combines a strong sense of composition with hands-on finishing skills, from stabilization and clean-up to seamless shot integration. With an instinct for emotional nuance and a commitment to precision, he helps filmmakers craft powerful images that resonate.


Jacob Prazer
Assistant Colorist
Jacob is an assistant colorist with a sharp technical mind and a keen filmmaker’s eye. With a background in independent documentary filmmaking, he approaches post-production with an appreciation for both fine detail and broader visual consistency. Whether managing complex conforms or supporting final deliveries, he brings care and curiosity to every step of the process. His latest documentary explored the world of street art, reflecting his passion for culture, human connection, and creative expression in all its forms.
